Happy Wednesday my fellow racers..Does anyone have any experience with an Auto-Blip module for the C5Z? The good? The Bad? Any information is appreciated! Thank you.

Well, I finally got it done. Got tired of the stock steering rack leak and inability to guarantee a fix. So I put a Sweet Manufacturing race rack in it.if anyone is interested in ditching the stock crap steering rack and needs any further details, let me know. I had to custom build a rack mount using a plate already made for it, space the rack up 2" from essentially flush to the cradle to match the stock location, had to offset the rack in the car to the driver's side to clear other shit and get the angle right for the steering shaft, custom made abs bracket to get the mount off the cradle and out of the way, had to clearance the cradle to allow for full travel, add a steering shaft rod end mount to the frame to support the extra universal joint needed, and some new lines to make it all work.

What I gained: no more power steering leak, approximately a 9-10:1 steering ratio only needed 1.5 turns lock to lock with the same angle of the stock rack, 0 bumpsteer, and a much better feeling through the steering wheel. So happy I was able to get this all done without any major hurdles, and that it now works absolutely perfect.

Sweet!

Something c5 and c6 owners should know, if you start getting the leaky magnasteer grommet we all know you're kinda screwed since it's unserviceable, but Phoenix rack and axle deleted the magnasteer for me and installed a bolt in the grommet hole. Very simple and guaranteed solution to that age old problem. That plus a Turn One pump ended my leaks 2 years ago.

Anybody looking for a drift steering kit for a c5 or c6 Corvette? I pulled mine off and selling it with all the parts to install including the modified spindles. Took a few hours to modify them to fit, so if you want to save some time, here's your set. Asking $500 for the whole setup with spindles, wheel bearings, adapter, new spherical rod ends and inner hubs with adapter sleeve. I can also throw in some rack limiters if you need them. Let me know if you want them. ... See MoreSee Less
